The perfect Udaipur guide — knowledgeable, trustworthy and genuinely caring
We absolutely loved our experience with Mr Anoop and would recommend him without hesitation! Mr Anoop is from Udaipur, has been working as a guide for 25 years, and his knowledge of the city, its history and culture is incredible. We spent around five hours together visiting the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, walking through parts of the old city, and even discovering a few hidden gems we would never have found on our own. What made the experience particularly special, though, was how calm, safe and comfortable we felt with him throughout the entire day. He was incredibly attentive, handled any unwanted approaches immediately and discreetly, and made us feel very well looked after from beginning to end. Another thing we really appreciated: there were absolutely no forced shopping stops or souvenir shops. He only took us into places when we asked to go. And even then, he was there purely to help us — explaining whether bargaining was appropriate, what to look for when evaluating local products, and even asking sellers to show us things such as an artist’s certification so we could better understand what was genuinely handmade and what to be careful about. The whole tour felt relaxed and unhurried while still being incredibly informative. He shared so much knowledge without ever making it feel like a lecture — just a wonderful conversation with someone who knows and loves his city. He was punctual, kind, thoughtful, professional and clearly takes great pride in his work. If we came back to Udaipur, we would book him again without thinking twice. We also found out that he offers car services in addition to guided tours, and based on the level of care and professionalism we experienced, I would feel completely comfortable recommending those services as well. Best Udaipur Tour Guide - August 2026
I had a wonderful experience exploring Udaipur with Mr. Anoop Khan as my tour guide. As a solo traveller, I felt safe, comfortable and well looked after throughout the trip. Anoop Ji was punctual, kind, helpful and attentive, and I always felt at ease in his company. Anoop Ji has excellent knowledge of Udaipur’s history, culture and attractions, and it was genuinely fun interacting with him. He made every effort to cover almost everything on my sightseeing list; only a few places had to be missed because of limited time and the monsoon season. He also suggested some off-the-beaten-path locations that turned out to be real gems, especially for anyone who loves history and sightseeing. He also took me to several local shops, where the vendors were pleasant and I came away with some lovely items. I cannot say with certainty whether I received the best possible prices everywhere, so travellers who enjoy bargaining may wish to compare prices. Nevertheless, the overall shopping experience was enjoyable. Most importantly, I felt very safe with both Anoop Ji and the driver he arranged, Nasir. I was comfortable leaving my belongings in the car while sightseeing and never felt uneasy. Unforgettable experience
We had an amazing experience with Anoop ji. His knowledge is commendable and his way of storytelling, mixing historical facts with fun punch lines is what we enjoyed the most. He is both humble and brilliant. It was a 10/10 experience with him✨ he literally illuminates knowledge, well-read and extremely experienced. City Palace with Khan guide

We have fantastic experience . Anoop Ji is having very in depth information of the place. I visited Udaipur earlier but without a guide also but this time we had a totally different view of city . Anoop in Udaipur is the way to see the city!
Anoop was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and thoughtful about what we wanted to do/see . Once we told him my husband was an architect, he gave more history and architectural information. We really enjoyed our time in Udaipur with Anoop because he is thoughtful, professional and smart. You can tell he is proud of his country and Udaipur in particular. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide
Mr. Anoop Khan Pathan was amazing in guiding us through the sights and history of Udaipur. He is extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much about the history of Rajasthan in general and Udaipur in particular. We were so surprised because we are ourselves students of history and language, yet Mr. Pathan managed to tell us so much we did not know - about the meaning of many words that are part of Rajasthan. He educated us on the meaning of the artwork - paintings on the walls and ceilings of the places and explained in detailed the various weapons and how to distinguish what kind of soldier a weapon belongs to. His information on the Saheliyon ki Bari was amazing. He also helped us find gifts and personal shopping at extremely reasonable prices. I will take Mr. Pathan's services during all my subsequent visits to Rajasthan as he can travel to other cities and provide information on those architecture, art and history as well.

Mr mangu Khan is the greatest tour guide around!
Went on a private guided tour with Mr. Mangu Khan which was incredible! Extremely professional and very friendly! New a huge amount of information about all places visited and was a joy to explore with! We went to the city place, the Jagdish temple, Saheliyon ki bari, and he also showed us to an amazing tailor! Great tour!
My wife and I toured City Palace and Jagdish Temple with Anoop. He's a very friendly and knowledgeable guide; he gamified the information of the palace in a fun and challenging way.
